Research & Development
HerdCare
IDEAS Engineering is developing, based on its proprietary industrial invention patent and on research activities carried out in collaboration with leading universities and research institutes, a wearable device for livestock cattle. The solution is designed to predict the onset of common diseases, monitor heat stress, and predict and manage calving phases, as well as to provide animal identification and localization services. The goal is to increase productivity, reduce operational costs, and improve sustainability, while simplifying farm management.
Research & Development in Computer Vision and Remote Sensing
IDEAS Engineering carries out R&D activities in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence applied to remote vegetation monitoring. The work focuses on the integration of ground measurements with optical and radar satellite data to estimate pasture biomass and analyze vegetation dynamics. The objective is to develop robust, interpretable, and scalable AI-based models that improve accuracy and generalization with respect to traditional approaches, supporting sustainable land and livestock management.
